It's National Bikini Day!

Summer is finally here and lots of sexy skin is in. THE weather could hardly be more perfect to mark this most celebrated of occasions – today is National Bikini Day.

The sexy swimwear was introduced to the world by French mechanical engineer Louis Reard on July 5, 1946, but it really hit the fashion heights in the Fifties thanks to celebrity fans such as Brigitte Bardot.  

Back in the day Reard had a difficult time finding a professional model to model his skimpy bikini so he hired an exotic dancer to model it, and the rest, as they say, is history. Needless to say, the design was a ginormous hit, especially with men. And for women, gone were the days of being covered up from here to there. Revealing more of the body was finally acceptable.

Whiteout!

Spencer Matthews, look away. We just spotted these fab snaps of ex-girlfriend Lucy Watson of her Gorgeous Couture shoot and she shows him exactly what he’s missing.

The 22-year-old is seen modelling the brand’s dresses against various scenic backgrounds.  The winner though? A shot of Lucy lounging by the pool in a white one-piece, knee-high silver gladiator heels and a slick of red lippie. Swimsuits have never been sexier.

You can get a Made in Chelsea makeover yourself. While knee-high gladiators might not be too practical on the beach, white swimsuits are a serious must-have! And just look so gorgeous..

Brilliant Orange

Bright, bold and everywhere we looked, brilliant orange was the colour of choice on the  catwalk.  

If last Spring was all about fluorescent neons, then this one is all about bold saturated hues. Don’t expect a Day-Glo, but rather an electric matte version of bright and orange that looks just as polished on a sweeping lace-infused evening gown as it does on our Caribbean Sunrise range.
