Going back to basics is a perfect way to to get a natural healthy glow on the beach. Natural beauty recipes can give professional results without breaking the bank. The secret is to keep it simple, use good quality ingredients and allow nature to work its magic. Why not try it for yourself?
A perfect treatment to do at home, before your holiday or a special event, is the Citrus & Almond Scrub.
Exfoliating your skin removes dead skin cells, leaving you with a natural glow. Rough or dry areas of your skin can be replenished with this simple, homemade treatment. The Citrus & Almond Scrub is completely natural and gentle enough to use on your face.
It’s worth noting too, there is some serious science behind the clever ingredients used in this treatment. Lemon contains health-boosting chemicals such as citric acid, a powerful antioxidant, which is said to stimulate collagen production, giving you healthy, plump skin.
So what does it involve?
Ingredients
* 4 Whole almonds or 2 Tsp. Ground almonds
* The zest of 1 lemon
* 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
* 1 Tbsp. honey
 Recipe
Grind the almonds using a clean coffee grinder or food processor. Fresh almonds are better but if you are short of time then ground almonds will work too. Then, add the lemon zest to the almonds.
Pour the mixture into a small bowl or jar, add the lemon juice and honey, then stir until it’s blended. The scrub should be a coarse, lemony paste.
Now for the fun part!
Apply the paste onto clean, towel dried skin. Massage into the rough, dull areas of your skin in circular motions, eliminating the dead skin cells. Then rinse with warm, clean water.
It is that easy!
The Citrus & Almond Scrub is a simple treatment that will leave you with beautiful, radiant skin. It’s no wonder natural recipes are revolutionising our beauty regimes.
